Meet your farmer & vigilant helpers

Working the land beneath my feet is a calling so deep that it feels as though the soil itself is rooted in my soul. Everywhere I have lived, I’ve landscaped  and cultivated every viable inch of space, always drawn to the quiet rhythm of growing.  For more then a decade, my focus was on vegetables and unusual edibles-an endeavor fueled in part by my boys’ enthusiasm for snaking their way through the garden.  Keeping horses and chickens not only shaped our family life but also gave us an abundant supply of compost, which helped transform our dense Oregon clay soil into something fertile and alive. In 2023, I faced the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to my beloved horses as age and arthritis took their toll. Letting go was difficult, but I couldn’t bear the thought of their pasture being lost to neglect or overtaken by blackberries.

That space- and the incredible gift the horses had given through years of nourishment to the soil-became the inspiration for something new. Flowers had always felt like a gift, a way to bring beauty, connection, and meaning into everyday life. Honoring the legacy of my horses and the land they shaped, I chose to convert the barn into a specialty cut flower farm.  Today, that ground continues to give generously, producing seasonal blooms grown with care, intention, and deep respect for the land that made it all possible.
